Metro Station Distance Calculator

See the distance between two Metro stations along the Metro route and in a straight line, plus the number of stations and changes.

How we calculate it

We use each station’s latitude and longitude with the haversine formula. The distance along the route is the sum of the distances between consecutive stations.

Uses

To estimate the fare, to compare with walking or cycling, or to understand how far apart two areas are.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the distance?

It is calculated from station coordinates; expect a few percent difference from the actual track length.

Why do route and straight-line distances differ?

The track curves, and a change can make the route longer.
